BAFTAs 2018 – Los ganadores de la Academia Británica del Cine. 3 Anuncios por un Crimen la mejor del año

Tal como ocurriera con los Globos de Oro, el código para los trajes de los artistas en la Ceremonia de los BAFTAs 2018 fue el negro como parte del manifiesto contra el acoso y el abuso sexual y en apoyo a los movimientos #TimesUp y #MeToo.

La ceremonia de premiación de los Premios Británicos del Cine, los BAFTA, se llevó a cabo desde Royal Albert Hall de Londres, donde la actriz y activista Joanna Lumley reemplazó a Stephen Fry como la anfitriona de esta gala que llegó a su edición 71.

3 Anuncios por un Crimen de Martin McDonagh se impuso sobre la más nominada de esta jornada, The Shape of Water, y terminó llevándose los premios tanto de Mejor Película Británica como el de Mejor Película del Año, además de los premios artísticos a Mejor Actriz, Mejor Actor de Reparto y Mejor Guion Original. La última vez que una producción británica coincidió con ambos premios fue con “El Discurso del Rey” (2010).

Guillermo del Toro sumó un reconocimiento más en esta temporada de premios al recibir el galardón a Mejor Director por La Forma del Agua, que también sumó el de Mejor Música Original y Mejor Diseño de Producción.

Entre tanto, la Mejor Película de Habla No Inglesa es La Doncella, la última producción del cineasta surcoreano Park Chan-wook.

Los premios sin novedades también incluyeron estatuillas para I, Tonya y Call Me By Your Name y Darkest Hour.
